Biography
Dr. Kaushik Pal is an Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee since 2012. He started his career as a BE in Mechanical Engineering (2002). After that he obtained his Ph.D Degree (2009) from IIT, Kharagpur. After finishing his Ph.D, he joined to Gyeongsang National University, South Korea for pursuing his Post-Doc research. Prior to joing IIT, Roorkee, he started his journey at NIT Agartala as a faculty member and served there during 2011-2012. His fields of interests are nano materials and other high performance advanced materials. He has authored about 70 publications till date. Also, he has authored two books namely, “Recent Advances in Elastomeric Nanocomposites†and “Recent Advancement in Processing of Wood-Plastic Composites (WPC) Foamâ€. He has supervised 01 no. Ph.D’s and 07 nos. Ph.D’s are ongoing. Currently, he is handling about 04 nos. of sponsored research projects including some International collaborative project and filed 02 patents. He is acting as a reviewer of several internationally known journals. Also, he is the member of National Academy of Sciences, American Chemical Society (ACS) and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). Also, he is the recipient of Brain Korea (BK-21) fellowship award and DAAD fellowship award.
